Steve had definitely wanted to go to Rockland to see the Farnsworth Art Museum, which we did visit on Sunday morning and went into their special Wyeth exhibit building of N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth’s paintings as well. Rockland and Thomaston are beautiful areas of Maine and, thanks to a friend’s hospitality it’s been an especially fun place to visit as well. It’s amazing that many years after graduating from high school you can begin to connect with people you haven’t seen since that graduation day. And even more amazing is that after not seeing someone for all these years, you are invited to stay at their house so you can go down all the peninsulas to see the beautiful ports and coves in the area. Cheri hadn’t seen Sue (Boop) Christensen for 47 years and it’s been fun “catching up” and learning from her about her favorite areas in Maine. She moved here about 39 years ago from Pennsylvania. Thanks to her suggestions today we spent time in Port Clyde, Tenant Harbor, Owl’s Head Lighthouse, and other small towns along the way.
The photos included here are: (1) Steve painting near Owl’s Head lighthouse (2) Owl’s Head Light house and (3) Port Clyde

Still enjoying your blog, Cheri!
